Photography is my Passion

When I was 14 I found my father 1960's era Nikon FE in a cabinet. From there I got him to buy me film and took every opportunity to snap a picture I could. Photography classes in high school propelled me to school photographer and soon I traveled with most of the sports teams and worked closely with yearbook every year until graduation.

Since then, whenever I'm in a rut, I can take some pictures and I feel better. In this picture I had walked 10 miles in 95° and 90% humidity and was in a horrible mood. My best friend whom I traveled with made us stop to take pictures of this lightning storm. It was worth it.

I Love to Travel

From Europe, to Thailand, to Cuba I love to travel to different places and experience different cultures. There's nothing more rewarding than arriving in a new place, getting lost, and finding your way on your own.

This picture was taken about 7 miles from where I was staying in Havana, I had no idea where we were walking, but the long straight road compelled us to keep going. Of course we found our way back to the center of the city, took some amazing photos but the journey was exciting.

People are Pretty Cool

In every job I have ever had I've been in direct contact with people, for better or worse. You never know who you will meet on any given day and where the conversations will take you.

Taking pictures at sunrise one morning in Havana I got this picture of one of Havana's only Muay Thai Masters. His friends that were taking pictures of him invited us to train with him early the next morning. We slept in.
